Our Testimony

For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. - II Corinthians 5:14-15
As young children, Ryan and Melissa were saved and learned to love God's Word. While in high school, the Lord burdened Ryan with a desire for church planting; and as a second grader, Melissa felt God's leading into missions. After graduation from college, they met while working for West Park Baptist Summer Day Camp in Delray Beach, Florida. There Ryan became assistant Pastor and married Melissa the following year. Both felt the Lord's leading into planting a church in Ft. Lauderdale, and in 2004 they moved to Pensacola where Ryan studied for his master of divinity degree. Now the couple is back in South Florida preparing to start a church. Both are working full time toward this goal.

In the Fort Lauderdale, a population of nearly two million, there is not a single independent, fundamental Baptist church. The city is filled with neighborhood churches which teach a god that is foreign to the one found in Scripture. Each week people from all cultures gather for services, leaving as lost as when they entered the church building. God's Word is not taught, His Spirit is not present, and His name is not glorified in these meetings. Fort Lauderdale is culturally diverse with a large Hispanic and Creole speaking population. Many of the children are bi-lingual, making it possible for us to begin ministering to them immediately. The majority of the adults will need services in their own language. The Fort Lauderdale area is morally abase, and their sins are open and blatant. The homosexual movement has planted its roots in the area and is continuing to spread wickedness. So many people need to find the Savior. We are dedicated to sharing the gospel of salvation with them.
